The reason people say you need life insurance now is because the longer you wait, the less likely you are to get it. By then, it may be too late. As a father of two girls (now, :)) my wife and I’s biggest fear is that we won’t be there for them when they grow up. Parenting has an amazing way of doing that to you.

Don’t Be Afraid To Discuss About Life Insurance With Your Family

Before them, the most important thing for me was work and work. The day my little girl arrived, I knew things would never be the same for me.

Bad day at work because I didn’t get along with co-workers or was unfairly reprimanded by my boss? Well… that’s the working world. I can’t meet my friend group anymore. Well…that’s life.

Replacing these priorities were the simple but meaningful things girls love—like coming home early for dinner every day, finding time to read with them every day, and being able to tuck them into bed every night. On weekends, we also find activities like swimming, going to the park, and going to art and music classes. Some of these activities cost money, others are free.

In addition to these things I do with the girls, another important thing that came before me personally is to check my insurance. With two little girls depending on me, it wasn’t something I could ignore.

Types Of Life Insurance In 2022

Contrary to what some people think, buying life insurance does not mean getting rich. There is no mention of shopping for yourself. Instead, as parents, life and critical illness insurance is meant to provide our children with financial stability should unfortunate events such as serious illness, permanent disability or death occur. If one of these events occurs, there is no doubt that our children’s lives will be adversely affected. However, paying for insurance can reduce the significant decline in our children’s quality of life.

When our children are small, we provide everything they need. These include daily necessities such as food, clothing, books and shelter. We also give them the unconditional love, care, protection, time and guidance they need from us to grow up in a safe environment.

In addition to the basic necessities of life, being able to purchase luxuries, such as going to a restaurant or a park, traveling abroad, and buying gifts during good times, adds to the growing experience they can enjoy as a child.

As parents, we want to continue to provide our children with all these things, at least until they are old enough to support themselves.

What Does Life Insurance Cover?

One of the first things I did after becoming a father was buy health and critical illness insurance. This is because of my fear that while I have some hope of providing financial support for my daughters while I am there, there is a possibility that ill health or injury may prevent me from doing so. The insurance policies I have purchased are intended to provide essential financial support to my daughters in my absence.

As parents, we naturally want the best for our children. Most parents will not think twice about making sacrifices, including finances, to give their children the best we can. In a recent survey conducted by NTUC Income, 85% of parents agreed that their child’s happiness is part of their own happiness. 82% also agreed that money and financial security are important to their child’s happiness, especially when they are young.

Even if we decide to spend more money on our children, we should remember that providing financial stability for them is not just a matter of giving them as much money as we can today, but also making sure that we continue to pay for the same things for our children. in the future we give them today.

Our children grow up getting used to the way of life and activities we do for them today. For example, some parents may spend a lot of time in enrichment classes, such as violin or sailing lessons, and their children may grow up enjoying these activities. Others (like me) may choose to pursue regular activities that can be equally rewarding, such as swimming, rollerblading or karate classes. In addition to activities, we will also use things like gifts for them for special occasions and trips abroad or vacations.

In fact, research has shown that parents spend an average of $10,300 per year on each child for the highest quality items that contribute to a child’s happiness.

In both cases, children – whether learning to sail or taking swimming lessons – can find out
